Markov R.N. Assessment of the possibility and feasibility of combined production of electricity and heat for electric steel production

The object of the study of this work is the power supply system of electric steel production and energy-efficient complex of electric steel production. The demand for electric energy, the most powerful consumers of which are arc steel furnaces, is growing in modern metallurgical production. Power generation is carried out through a complex combination of thermal processes in power plants. To date, there is no "ideal" heat source capable of producing electrical energy according to the schedule, close to the consumption of the arc furnace. This problem should be a scientific approach on the part of the thermal process of electricity generation. The solution to this problem on the part of heat power is to develop an energy source as a complex thermal system, taking into account the influence of each element on the work.
