Petrushkov M.V. Investigation of the possibility of energy saving in heat supply systems due to the use of modern means of insulation

The purpose of this work is to study the possibility of energy saving in heat supply systems through the use of modern means of insulation. On the basis of the review of scientific articles of the last years the existing systems of heat supply, their technical and heat-power characteristics are considered. The directions of energy saving possibilities are analyzed. As a result, it was found the direction to reduce heat losses during transportation of the coolant. The heat-insulating materials presented in the market are considered. To solve this problem, two types of thermal insulation were chosen: traditional-glass wool, and modern-PU shell. A mathematical model has been developed to determine the heat losses depending on the temperature on the pipeline surface. Estimation of energy and economic effect from the use of the proposed exclusion.
