Kartavtsev S.V. 35 years of development of the South Ural (Magnitogorsk) industrial heat and power center: education and science

The history of training specialists in the field of industrial heat and power engineering and features of its development in the South Ural (Magnitogorsk) training center (from 1968 to 2003) is considered. The characteristic difficulties encountered here can be used to make effective decisions when opening and developing vocational training centers. The regional aspect of the Magnitogorsk Center, which determines its significance for the ferrous metallurgy of the Southern Urals, is also considered.
