Vafina D.E. The energy saving technology of metallurgical production with the use of natural gas
A process has been developed to extract iron from untreated ore based on natural gas, which ensures the consumption of primary resources of ≈370 m3 per ton of produced iron with an iron content of 33% ore. The energy intensity of the process is 450 kg of reference fuel / ton against 770 kg of reference fuel / ton in modern sintering technology.
