This publication provides an analysis of the energy saving potential of the steam power cycle widely used in industrial power engineering. Each link of primary fuel energy conversion from the fuel and energy complex to the final consumer is considered sequentially. The ways to improve the efficiency of the steam power cycle by means of energy-technological combination are presented.
