Kozykin A.V. Analysis of utilization methods and prospects for using secondary energy resources in the process of blast furnace iron smelting

The paper analyzes the methods of utilization and prospects for using secondary energy resources in the process of blast furnace smelting of cast iron. Methods of using the excess pressure of the blast furnace gas and its temperature potential are considered. Methods of using both the mineral part of the blast furnace slag and its temperature potential for the production of additional products are considered. The high resource intensity of the metallurgical industry determines the need for activities related to the assessment and search for ways to save energy. The introduction of energy-efficient and resource-saving technologies determines the sustainable development of the enterprise and ensures the competitiveness of its products.
