Yarovikova E.A. Analysis of the use of titanomagnetite ores to expand the iron ore base of a metallurgical enterprise

The paper analyzes the methods of using titanomagnetite ores to expand the iron ore base of a metallurgical enterprise. Despite the fact that titanomagnetite ores have long been used as raw materials for the production of cast iron, steel and vanadium salts, the technology for their processing continues to develop continuously. This is due to the improvement of the design of furnace units, the peculiarities of the melting of titanomagnetites, accompanied by the formation of refractory titanium slag, with questions of increasing the degree of extraction of vanadium, which remains still not high enough, as well as the task of increasing the complexity of the use of raw materials. Therefore, the search for new solutions for the processing of ores, concentrates and minerals of titanomagnetite deposits is constantly ongoing with the goal of the most rational use of all raw material components.
