Murashova V.N. Study of the possibility of using alternative heat carriers for heat recovery of liquid steel in continuous casting machines
This paper addresses the issues of energy saving in such an industry as ferrous metallurgy. The reasons for the high energy intensity of ferrous metallurgy are associated with significant energy losses during casting, rolling and cooling of finished products. From an energy point of view, the heat energy released as a result of technological operations must be used usefully and efficiently. One of the options for reducing energy costs in this sector is the use of new and promising technologies in the sheet rolling complex. In this regard, research is continuing to develop less energy-intensive technologies in this area of metallurgical production.
